Finishing Touches
Find the right touch of glam for your bath at The Brass Handle
Whatever you need to accessorize a bath, chances are these guys have it. The Brass Handle in the Galleria, founded in 1977 by Bruce Johnson, has been an industry leader in the Twin Cities decorative hardware business for 30-plus years. “We are unique in a unique industry, because we are a retail store, first and foremost,” says Bruce’s nephew Brian Johnson, who took over the business with Jim Brindley in 2000 when Bruce retired. Since then, co-owners Brian and Jim have continued Bruce’s commitment to providing their customers with comprehensive customer service, from purchase to installation to maintenance. “Our relationship with our customers is what sets us apart,” says Brian, who has a full-time master locksmith on staff for installations. Their store’s inventory includes more than 90 national and local vendors including Emtek, Rocky Mountain, and Classic Brass. In 2003, The Brass Handle moved to its current 3,500-square-foot location in the Galleria. “It’s incredibly rewarding to be involved with the day-to-day operations of the business, from working closely with customers to being active in the local business community,” Brian says. “We love it.”
