By 1930, he had expanded into furniture, selling consoles, obelisks, and more to Prince Ali Khan, Coco Chanel, and other members of the haute monde. • Key Motifs: Clamshells, palm trees, acanthus leaves, and plumes, preferably cast in icing-thick plaster or stucco. • Modern Interpreters: Jonathan Adler, Kelly Wearstler, and Thierry Despont.
